What Does the Twilight Saga: Eclipse and FiRE + iCE Have in Common?
Well, that would be a poem, of course!
“Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.”
…Fire and Ice by Robert Frost.
Does this sound familiar? Well, maybe it does to the dear Twilight fans out there. We were so happy when we found out our flavorsome restaurant was “kind-of-featured” in the opening of the ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’ The opening poem by Robert Frost is titled ‘Fire and Ice,’ which is Frost’s most popular poem (even though we secretly know that Frost really meant to write this poem about our restaurant. Come on, in 1920, he totally knew FiRE + iCE Restaurants would exist in 1997) .
The poem discusses the end of the world, likening the elemental force of fire with the emotion of desire and ice with hate. Hmm…sounds yummy! Although, we can familiarize Frost’s poem to our delicious “FiRE” and “iCE” menu. Our FiRE menu is complete with hot, delicious ‘elemental forces’ of fire, which consist of fresh meats, seafood, pastas, internationally influenced sauces, and both exotic and traditional vegetables, ready to be cooked on our very HOT, very BIG grill. Our iCE menu is readily available to chill those inner FiRE vampires and werewolves.
On another note: Who do you think the “fire” and “ice” is an allusion to? Jacob Black and Edward Cullen? We would love to know your thoughts!
